Patrick Graves
VP of Operations
Patrick joined Axis in 2008 and has over 25 years of experience in the steel detailing and construction industry. He currently serves as Vice-President of Operations at Axis managing the daily operations. With his experience, he supervises project managers with all aspects of the projects and helps to oversee scheduling. He has also worked for many fabricators and knows shop procedures. Patrick also has experience with BIM to help projects avoid problems in the field. Additionally, he manages project changes and works with the customer to incorporate these with the least amount of impact for all involved.
Kaelene Schoen
Vice President
Kaelene is the Vice President of Human Resources at Axis. She joined the company in 2008 and has been instrumental in building our internal processes and procedures.
Kaelene came to Axis with +15 years of experience in the mortgage industry where she worked as VP of Operations overseeing all processes and procedures including human resources and accounting for 8+ locations.
James Schoen
VP of Marketing
James joined Axis in 2019 as the VP of Marketing and previously worked at Google as a digital marketing consultant for Canada's top advertising agencies.
James earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Experience Design and Management from Brigham Young University.
Garrett Harris
Systems Development Manager
Garrett joined Axis in 2013 and quickly became an integral part of the Axis team. He is our systems development manager as well as a senior project manager. Garrett earned an Associate of Applied Science in Drafting Technologies from Utah Valley University and was included on the Dean’s List for academic achievement.
Todd Brush
Sr. Quality Control Manager
Todd joined the Axis team in 2014 and currently serves as the QA/QC Manager. Todd comes from a strong steel construction background, working +20 years with a prominent steel fabricator-erector. His knowledge of AISC seismic welding and construction requirements is exceptional and is extremely well versed in AWS procedures. As a 3D AutoCAD expert, Todd also helps manage our CAD BIM requirements. With his background working with both shop and field departments, Todd is able to share his insight while providing our in-house training.
Kory Neal
Project Manager
Kory joined Axis as a Project Manager at the beginning of 2020. Kory previously worked at Nucor for 9 years holding various roles in the company's leadership team and as a detailer. He also has 7 years of experience at a commercial architecture firm where he designed many schools and churches. Kory has also earned his Bachelor’s degree in computer design graphics engineering technology from Weber State University.
Jan Phillips
Project Manager & Scanning Manager
Jan joined Axis in 2011 with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Drafting from Utah Valley University and has over 8 years of experience in steel detailing. He is currently a project manager that is responsible for production, documentation and supervises project coordinators and steel detailers to ensure projects are done accurately and on schedule.
