SunSteel, 2015
This project consisted of three separate buildings that are nested within a very forested area of Portland. The three buildings were very complicated with the hips and valleys to frame up what would be traditional-looking, “old-style” Japanese architectural buildings. They were all single-story structures, with the main building having a grand staircase that was built out of plate to look like floating steps.
